New Jersey anti-bullying laws prohibit harassment, intimidation, or bullying that is reasonably perceived as being motivated either by any actual or perceived characteristic, such as race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or a mental, physical or sensory disability, or by any other distinguishing characteristic.

New Jersey’s Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights applies to students, staff and school officials both on-and-off of school grounds and is inclusive of cyber-bullying.  Schools must follow specific procedures when allegations of bullying arise.  To that end, we are fully equipped to address and resolve bullying matters at both the school-level and through final appeal in the courts.
